Job description

Job Title: Project Manager

Introduction

SG2 Recruiting has partnered with Inovitech to spearhead the search for a visionary Project Manager. This is a pivotal opportunity to join a dynamic team and directly influence the company’s next phase of growth. If you are a strategic thinker ready to make a tangible impact, we want to hear from you.

Company Overview

Inovitech is a forward-thinking technology organization based in the Washington, D.C. metro area, specializing in building innovative cloud-computing business applications for eDiscovery professionals. Driven by a mission to transform legal project management, we deliver smarter, more intuitive solutions that eliminate workflow inefficiencies, increase transparency, and improve collaboration. Join our fast-paced, mission-driven environment to build impactful products that serve enterprise and government clients while advancing your career in a supportive culture that values innovation and growth.

Your Role

As the Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind our product vision, serving as the critical link between our customers' needs and our technical execution. This role is perfectly suited for an adaptable, high-potential professional who is eager to master our existing processes and grasp the broader product ecosystem. Reporting directly to the CEO, your core purpose is to own the product roadmap, act as the primary customer-facing advocate, and guide technology initiatives through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) while overseeing essential Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities. You will serve as a hybrid product and program leader, ensuring our solutions deliver continuous value to users and align with Inovitech's strategic business goals.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Engage directly with customers, end-users, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, understand user pain points, and translate business needs into actionable product features.

  • Drive the product roadmap and strategy, prioritizing the backlog to balance new feature development with critical O&M tasks and system enhancements.

  • Master our existing workflows and scale them effectively, focusing on executing the overarching product strategy rather than building new processes from scratch.

  • Triage incoming product issues as the first line of defense, interpreting system logs (e.g., Datadog) and code security scans to accurately diagnose and articulate technical problems to the engineering team.

  • Guide products through the full SDLC, defining clear scopes, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release schedules.

  • Manage ongoing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) initiatives to ensure continued product health, stability, and customer satisfaction post-launch.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI, security, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery, operational readiness, and high-quality product releases.

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies—including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives—while enforcing strict change-management tracking, mitigating dependencies, managing budgets, and developing detailed test and training plans.

  • Support critical security, compliance, and operational initiatives, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and security remediation efforts.

  • Champion product adoption and success by tracking performance metrics, conducting user feedback sessions, and iterating on solutions to maximize impact.

What You Will Need

Must-Haves:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, program management, or project management, specifically driving software, cloud, or SaaS products.

  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles, with a proven ability to gather requirements, manage expectations, and translate feedback into technical roadmaps.

  • High adaptability and a growth mindset, with the proven ability to quickly learn established methodologies and understand the broader product scope.

  • Deep understanding of the SDLC and hands-on experience managing both new product development and O&M initiatives.

  • Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and product/project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Gantt Charts).

  • U.S. Citizenship, the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance, and the ability to successfully pass a background check.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMP, or Pragmatic Marketing).

  • Previous experience supporting government contracts, legal tech, eDiscovery, or highly regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog) and the ability to interpret code security scans.

  • An active Public Trust Clearance.

Logistics

  • Work Location: Remote

  • Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

  • Employment Type: Full-time

  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; and paid vacation and sick leave.

Mental and Physical Demands

To perform successfully in this role, you will need to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms. The position involves extended periods of sitting or standing at a computer workstation, utilizing a keyboard and monitor. You must be able to concentrate on complex technical details, solve analytical problems, and seamlessly adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Related Duties as Assigned

Please note that this job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this role. Your duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time, with or without notice, to support the team’s overarching goals and success.
