Job description

Absolut Bail Bonds is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bail Bondsman to join our team. The Bail Bond Agent is responsible for assisting clients in securing release from custody by posting bail bonds, explaining the bail process, and ensuring compliance with all legal and contractual obligations. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work professionally. No experience required, will train!! From recent graduates to retirees, all are welcome to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients and/or their families to explain the bail bond process, terms, and financial obligations
  • Complete and process required legal documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Post bail bonds at local jails, courts, and detention centers
  • Assess risk and determine eligibility for bond approval
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure court appearance compliance
  • Work with indemnitors and co-signers regarding payment arrangements
  • Coordinate with attorneys, court officials, and law enforcement as needed
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with state laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Live near the Mankato area
  • Valid Bail Bondsman license (as required by state law)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Must be 21 years of age and older
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check/BCA background check

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, or finance is a plus, but not required
  • No experience necessary - will train
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Commission:

  • 25% of the premium(example $10,000 =$1000 bond(premium) so you get $250)

Work Environment:
This position may involve travel to jails, courts, and client locations. The role may require being on-call and responding outside traditional business hours.
