Join our innovative team as a Remote Satellite Design Engineer specializing in SolidWorks. Responsibilities
CAD Design & Modeling: Create detailed 3D mechanical designs and assemblies for spacecraft components using SolidWorks.
Thermal Control System (TCS) Design: Design and implement passive and active thermal solutions, including radiated cooled panels (radiators), multi-layer insulation (MLI), heat pipes, and thermal coatings.
Environmental Testing: Plan and execute Thermal Vacuum (TVAC), vibration, and shock testing to validate hardware against mission requirements.
Systems Integration: Define mechanical and thermal interfaces (ICDs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, propulsion, avionics) to ensure seamless subsystem integration.
Documentation: Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), create manufacturing drawings, and generate thermal analysis reports for design reviews.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Master's or Ph.D. preferred for senior roles).
Experience: Typically 8+ years in spacecraft mechanical/thermal design, with specific expertise in Satellites
Software Proficiency:
o CAD: Advanced SolidWorks experience is essential, including large assembly management.
Technical Knowledge:
o Deep understanding of heat transfer principles (conduction and radiation dominant in vacuum).
o Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred Skills
Experience with advanced cooling technologies like loop heat pipes or mechanically pumped fluid loops.
