Job description

JetZero is seeking an experienced Aircraft Integration Engineer to support JetZero's build and integration efforts at Mojave Air and Space Port. This position will accomplish JetZero's integration of systems and subsystems alongside the manufacturing efforts of Scaled Composites. Integration Engineers will support development of work instructions and provide the on-site technical direction for in-process build and integration efforts in Mojave. Duties include shop coordination of weekly tasking with Scaled Composites, as well as overall management of JetZero's onsite team execution. Other on-site duties include development of JetZero processes and procedures and coordination with JetZero's off-site functional managers.

What You'll Do:
  • Under the direction of JetZero's Build Manager, support development and refinement of work instructions necessary to effectively integrate systems and subsystems into the Demonstrator airframe.
  • In coordination with the Demonstrator Chief Engineer, provide on-site adjudication of deviations from technical specifications and work instructions.
  • Coordinate near, mid, and long-term tasking with JetZero's Systems Integration Manager and the airframe manufacturer (Scaled Composites, LLC) in the airframe manufacturer's facility.
  • Coordinate materials procurement, logistics, and usage, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Collaborate closely with JetZero's and Scaled's engineering teams.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly status reports, as directed.
What You Bring:
  • 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing and/or R&D.
  • Strong experience with safety and quality management.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving development program with evolving processes and procedures.
  • Experience with prototyping and/or experimental testing (desired). 
  • Experience working "hands on" (desired).
  • Knowledgeable on manufacturing processes.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Experience with Siemens NX/Teamcenter
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Experience with composite aircraft manufacturing (desired).
Compensation: 

Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees. The range for this role is $100,000 - $135,000. We consider a number of factors when presenting a final offer, including geography, internal equity and years of experience and expertise.
