Job Description:

NDi is seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Specialist I to support a federal aviation safety analytics program for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The program supports the Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) environment, which integrates aviation safety data from multiple government and industry sources to support safety analysis, risk monitoring, and operational decision-making across the National Airspace System. The Senior Data Warehouse Specialist will support the data architecture and analytics platform that powers this environment, including data warehouse maintenance, ETL development, data integration, and analytical data preparation. The role requires strong experience working with complex multi-source datasets and supporting large-scale enterprise data environments.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • This position is remote with occasional meetings in Washington D.C.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or enterprise data analytics environments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines within Palantir Foundry, including data transformations, pipeline orchestration, and workflow management.
  • Experience structuring and modeling data within Foundry (e.g., ontology or equivalent semantic/data modeling layers) to support analytical use cases.
  • Experience designing and maintaining ETL/data integration pipelines across multiple source systems.
  • Strong experience with SQL development, relational databases, and data modeling.
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouse architectures and analytical data environments.
  • Experience supporting data quality, metadata management, and data governance practices.
  • Experience documenting data flows, data mappings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large federal data or analytics platforms.
  • Experience with data standardization or taxonomy development initiatives.
  • Experience supporting analytical systems used for safety, risk, or operational analytics.
  • Experience working in large multi-source data integration environments.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, data warehouse performance optimization, and enterprise data architectures.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes supporting integration of multiple aviation safety data sources.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of the enterprise data warehouse environment.
  • Develop and maintain data models and analytical datasets supporting safety analytics.
  • Support integration of new data sources into the analytics platform.
  • Maintain data standards, metadata, and documentation for the data warehouse environment.
  • Support data quality validation, transformation logic, and data governance processes.
  • Document system architecture, data flows, and integration processes.
  • Support analysts and technical teams in accessing and using integrated safety datasets.
  • Assist with development of analytical data structures used for safety metrics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve data accessibility, performance, and reliability of the analytics environment.
