Job description

We are looking for our next Auto Liability Claims Adjuster Trainer! In this role, you will lead and support training initiatives within the CBCS Auto/Liability division. You will prepare new and current employees for success by coordinating training plans, delivering instruction, evaluating progress, and identifying ongoing development needs.
This position requires strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and judgment, along with the ability to partner closely with leadership to ensure training is structured, effective, and aligned with operational expectations.
What you'll be doing
  • Train new adjusters (in office & remote staff) to build role-specific knowledge and proficiency
  • Review trainee work to assess accuracy, communication quality, and progress
  • Develop training plans, assessment tools, and learning goals to measure performance and retention
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions, including presentations and refreshers
  • Create and maintain training materials, resources, and content for consistent team learning
  • Partner with management to evaluate performance and recommend development needs
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for systems, workflows, and department processes
  • Support ongoing training for existing employees and contribute to additional projects as needed

What we're looking for
  • Experience delivering or managing training in claims, liability, or adjuster-focused environments
  • Strong communication skills across one-on-one, group, and presentation settings
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and coverage lines within claims operations
  • Ability to assess performance, adapt training approaches, and support varied learning styles
  • A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building skills

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience, including bodily injury and property damage claims
  • 1+ years of experience as a claims trainer/mentor
  • Current state-issued insurance adjuster licenses
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to evaluate work, organize training plans, and ensure consistency
