Job description

SALESCLERK-Auto/Farm/Hardware Full-Time
REPORTS TO: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on duty
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt / Hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide World-Class customer service, maximize sales, and uphold our Gold Standards of Operational Excellence through efficient execution of Company procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Help customers locate merchandise and inform them of any helpful product knowledge.
  2. Verify proper product rotation while stocking of merchandise.
  3. Operate handheld Telxon and maintain inventory accuracy.
  4. Remove damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
  5. Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads.
  6. Ensuring a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
  7. Assist customers with special order requests and sales.
  8. Regularly stock and merchandise product.
  9. Attending store and job-related meetings as well as the completion of required Outfitter trainings.
  10. Communicate effectively with Customers, Management, and co-workers.
  11. Following all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
  12. Ensure that your work area is clean with sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties.
  13. As needed, operate cash registers and assist with customer carry outs.
  14. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  15. Operate pallet jacks and/or tow motors.
  16. Capable of lifting up to and including 50 lbs.
  17. Consistent attendance for regularly scheduled work shifts is required.
  18. Other duties and responsibilities that may be required as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Must be physically able to carry merchandise for a distance up to 50 feet and be able to stand on concrete for up to eight hours.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Minimum Age requirement is 16 years old.
  2. Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
  3. Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
