About the Company:
Founded in 2017 by Anthony and Joe Russo, AGBO is an artist-led independent studio shaping the future of film and television. The Russo Brothers and AGBO have generated more than $7 billion at the global box office, including Avengers: Endgame. The studio's projects include Academy Awardwinning Everything Everywhere All at Once, Netflix hits The Gray Man and Extraction, and Prime Video's visceral thriller The Bluff and the global Citadel franchise. Citadel Season 2 premieres in May 2026.

AGBO is currently in production with Netflix on Tygo and Mercenary, both part of the Extraction universe, as well as with Lionsgate on John Rambo, a prequel to the iconic franchise. The studio is in post-production on The Whisper Man, starring Robert De Niro, and Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released December 18, 2026. AGBO will begin shooting Avengers: Secret Wars later this year. Both upcoming Avengers films are directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and co-produced by AGBO and Marvel Studios.

We're building the future of storytellingand we're looking for bold, creative minds to help shape it. If you're ready to help define what comes next, we'd love to meet you. Position Summary: AGBO is looking for an Audio Director to set the creative and technical bar for audio across games building signature SFX, shaping dialogue and music, and solving implementation problems in-engine. You'll partner directly with game directors to make sure audio drives story and gameplay feel, and you'll define the pipelines and stands that scale as our slate grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end audio vision for interactive projects from pre-production through ship
  • Collaborate with game directors, narrative designers, and production teams to ensure audio supports gameplay, story, and pacing
  • Define the audio team's core tools, workflows, and technical standards so the team can work efficiently and consistently as the company and project scales
  • Own the implementation of audio in-engine in close partnership with programmers and engineers
  • Manage relationships with external audio studios and freelance sound designers
  • Set and manage audio budgets, schedules, and resourcing
  • Establish and evolve audio pipelines, tools, and best practices that scale
  • Set and uphold quality bars for mixing, spatial audio, and platform-specific audio requirements
  • Represent audio in cross-departmental creative reviews
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools in game audio, spatial/ immersive sound and adaptive music
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5-8 years of professional audio design experience, with a strong portfolio of shipped projects
  • Deep proficiency with audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD, MetaSounds) and DAWs (pro tools, Reaper, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of Unreal Engine and how audio integrates with real-time systems
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Reel or portfolio demonstrating range across sound design and music integration
