Ardent is seeking a Project Manager to join our team.  

This position is based in Washington, DC and may require a combination of on-site and remote support depending on program needs.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate project activities, deliverables, personnel, schedules, and stakeholder communications across multiple technical initiatives supporting a federal customer. This role serves as the primary point of contact between project teams and customer stakeholders, ensuring successful execution of project objectives while maintaining visibility into scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall performance.

The Project Manager will work closely with technical teams, leadership, and customer representatives to support project planning, resource coordination, risk management, and delivery oversight across a variety of information technology and cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate project activities, personnel, deliverables, and schedules across multiple concurrent efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and implementation strategies.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into actionable project plans and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budget forecasts.
  • Monitor project execution and track progress against established milestones and objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams, customer stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports, briefings, and performance updates.
  • Support task planning, work assignment coordination, and labor forecasting activities.
  • Review project deliverables to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
  • Support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, work instructions, and project documentation.
  • Utilize project management tools to track activities, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate meetings, discussions, and coordination efforts among project stakeholders.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing information technology, cybersecurity, or technical projects.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects, stakeholders, and technical teams simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity concepts and environments.
  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • Experience preparing project documentation, reports, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Experience utilizing project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to successfully complete and maintain a government background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting federal government programs.
  • Experience managing technical teams supporting infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or software development initiatives.
  • Experience supporting multiple task orders, contracts, or large-scale enterprise technology programs.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting and stakeholder communications.
