Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking a detail-oriented Systems Analyst / Project Coordinator to support the National Agricultural Library (NAL) Library Support System and related NAL applications. The selected candidate will provide systems analysis and project coordination services, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to ensure successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide systems analyst and project coordination services for the NAL Library Support System (90%) and other NAL applications (10%).
  • Develop project charters and project schedules throughout the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and final acceptance.
  • Analyze, categorize, and track ongoing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities and development tasks.
  • Participate in project planning and estimation efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver frequent project status reports to the NAL Data Production and Information Products divisions.
  • Coordinate projects and maintain project issues within USDA GitHub repositories.
  • Lead Agile scrum meetings, project meetings, and coordination sessions.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering activities and obtain task signoffs from business stakeholders.
  • Communicate project schedule changes, risks, and issues that may impact project scope to the IT Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful project execution and continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience working with Business Stakeholders, Business Analysts, and Technical Architects to plan and analyze IT projects, including initiatives such as application refactoring and cloud migration.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience maintaining project documentation and keeping SharePoint and GitHub repositories current and up to date.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced federal IT environment.
  • Experience supporting Agile project management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting federal government IT projects.
  • Familiarity with USDA environments and GitHub-based project workflows.
