Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Technical Project Manager (TPM) to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daytoday delivery activities for technical projects spanning infrastructure, cloud, network, and modernization efforts.
  • Update project scope documents, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk registers per project guidance.
  • Track workpackage progress, monitor task completion, identify issues, and escalate to senior leadership as required.
  • Prepare draft project plans, schedule updates, execution artifacts, and status summaries to support tactical delivery and leadership visibility.
  • Assist change management by documenting impacts to scope/schedule/technical outcomes and routing updates through approved channels.
  • Organize crossfunctional meetings, capture action items, maintain communications, and coordinate testing/event scheduling and transition artifacts.
  • Maintain project repositories and reporting inputs within Governmentapproved systems to support governance and auditability.
  • Contribute to risk updates, mitigation notes, and monthly report content for program reviews and leadership briefings.
  • Apply standard project management practices to support multiple concurrent initiatives in a fastpaced, missiondriven environment.

Qualifications

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR
    • Relevant DoD/military training (examples: DAU ACQ 101; 411C22 (CP); 411C23; IT Project Manager (Intermediate) Playlist; ITIL 4 Foundation); OR
    • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: PMP, CAPM, CompTIA Project+; SecurityX/CASP+; DAWIA PM Practitioner; GSEC; Security+).
  • Required experience and skills:

    • Project coordination or project management support experience, preferably supporting technical or DoD programs.
    • Proficiency drafting project plans, maintaining IMS/schedules, tracking risks/issues, and preparing status reports.
    • Familiarity with project tools (MS Project/Primavera, Jira/Azure DevOps), reporting dashboards, and configuration/versioned repositories.
    • Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, meeting facilitation, and documentation skills.
  • Desired:

    • Prior DoD/ARNG technical project support experience and familiarity with RMF/ATO schedule impacts.
    • Experience supporting testing events, deployments, logistics planning, or vendor coordination.
    • Formal project certification (PMP/CAPM/Project+) and comfort with Agile/DevSecOps delivery environments.

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
