IT Project Specialist

The employee shall provide project management services towards facilitating the successful execution of IT programs, projects, and initiatives. ITSO IMT is responsible for managing multiple IT projects/initiatives across the organization using the Agile and Waterfall methodology. The employee must utilize their IT expertise coordinating project/initiative activities, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment with ITSO goals and objectives. The employee shall collaborate closely with project/initiative managers and cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop project/initiative plans, and establish timelines and milestones.

Additionally, the employee shall monitor project/initiative resources and risks, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

The Employee shall perform the following:

  • Coordinate project/initiative activities and timelines to ensure alignment with objectives and organizational goals.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project/initiative team members and AOUSC offices.
  • Maintain project/initiative documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other relevant records.
  • Monitor project/initiative deliverables to ensure that they meet quality standards and fulfill requirements.
  • Provide written recommendations on Government drafts of executive summaries and briefings.
  • Provide recommendations and input on other content and presentations.

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in managing IT projects/initiatives of varying size and complexity from initiation to closure
  • 5 years combined working Agile and Waterfall methodology
  • 5 years of experience communicating and collaborating with stakeholders at various levels, including government executives, IT teams, and external partners
  • 5 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • 5 years of creating and maintaining projects/initiatives documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records
  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Forms
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associates in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent is required.
