  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, production, etc.) to coordinate journal activities and resolve issues.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with external partners, representing Sage with professionalism.

Financial & Contract Oversight

  • Participate in cross-departmental committees and projects, sharing updates with the team in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate business judgment aligned with Sage's mission, vision, and values.

Mentorship & Collaboration
  • Mentor Editorial Assistants and Associates as available, offering guidance and support to help develop skills.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-focused team environment.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Partner with editors and societies to improve diversity, equity, and belonging across author, editor, and board representation.
  • Support initiatives that enhance accessibility and representation within publishing and research communities.

Professional Development & Industry Knowledge
  • Stay current with industry trends, particularly Open Access, abstracting and indexing, and scholarly publishing developments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Sage's strategy and goals, applying them to daily work.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, urgency, and quality in all tasks, including business communication and reporting.

Administrative & Operational Support
  • Oversee and delegate administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate files, reports, and expense management per company policies.
