  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing strong crisis management abilities to stabilize patients.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and resources within the community to enhance understanding and support.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, focusing on culturally diverse individuals and communities. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing various mental health conditions, particularly among those from marginalized backgrounds who may face unique challenges in accessing care. This opportunity enables you to make a significant impact on the well-being of patients who traditionally have been underserved.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as either an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state.
  • In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, along with a strong commitment to culturally competent care.
  • Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy with a culturally responsive lens.
  • Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to effectively manage challenging situations while remaining calm.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, demonstrating a capacity to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
  • Commitment to professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • A solid ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within multicultural settings, with specific exposure to the unique challenges faced by ethnic and cultural minorities and LGBTQ+ individuals.
  • Additional certifications or training in specialized therapeutic practices (e.g., trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based approaches) that enhance therapeutic skill sets.
