• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patient needs and devise tailored treatment plans that address both mental health and emotional well-being.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to facilitate healing and resilience, adapting strategies to meet the unique requirements of each patient.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide cohesive and well-rounded care approaches that address medical, psychological, and social needs.
• Educate patients and their families about available resources and coping strategies, empowering them to navigate the complexities of care.
• Stay abreast of the latest mental health developments, integrating current research and best practices into your therapeutic approach.

As an LCSW at our hospice center, you will primarily serve individuals dealing with chronic illness and end-of-life concerns. This population often experiences significant stressors such as trauma, grief, and loss, requiring a specialized focus on emotional support and mental health interventions that align with their unique circumstances. Your experience in trauma-informed care will be critical in helping patients and families cope with their challenges and enhancing their quality of life during this sensitive time.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Possession of a valid LCSW license within the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, ideally within a hospice or palliative care setting.
• Competence in solution-focused therapy as well as other evidence-based modalities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, complemented by the ability to engage empathetically with diverse populations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities essential for responding to evolving patient needs.

Experience working in hospice, palliative care, or a similar environment is highly valued, particularly in roles that require close work with families coping with grief and loss. Familiarity with bereavement resources and community support forms a strong foundation for success in this position.
