Job description

We are seeking an experienced AS400 / JD Edwards Administrator to support and maintain business-critical ERP applications and IBM i (iSeries) environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AS400 administration, PowerHA, system security, automation through CL scripting, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne support. This role is part of a global support team responsible for ensuring system availability, performance, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous operational improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support IBM i (AS400/iSeries) environments, including system configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Design, develop, and execute custom CL scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Manage PowerHA environments, including failover testing and high-availability administration.
  • Perform capacity planning, job scheduling/control, security administration, system updates, and LPAR management.
  • Support JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/OneWorld environments, including package builds, deployments, security administration, and OMW activities.
  • Administer hardware and infrastructure including pSeries, HMC, VIOS, storage, backups, and related technologies.
  • Maintain BRMS backup and recovery processes and participate in disaster recovery testing.
  • Install, upgrade, and support software and hardware components, including WebLogic application servers and JD Edwards environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, security teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, audit, and security requirements.
  • Participate in rotational shift coverage and occasional 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience administering IBM i (AS400/iSeries) platforms.
  • Proven experience with custom CL scripting and automation.
  • 7+ years of PowerHA administration and failover management.
  • Strong experience with BRMS backups, OS upgrades, PTF management, and system security.
  • Experience with LPARs, VIOS, HMC, and pSeries infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Experience supporting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/OneWorld, including package builds and security administration.
  • Installation and upgrade experience with WebLogic Application Server and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
