Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.
Position Summary
The Regional Sales Director is a key leadership role designed to increase the quantity and revenue of non-game day catered events across premier assigned venues within Oak View Group's hospitality division. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for the outbound solicitation and booking of new large-scale non-game day events that drive catering and rental space sales to exceed sales goals. This role serves as the main liaison for the implementation of corporate OVG initiatives. This role is the strategic connector between the corporation, venue team members, and clients, ensuring a seamless sales and operational transition process for a successful guest experience.
This role pays an annual salary of $90,000 - $110,000 and is commission eligible.

Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership
  • Drive non-game day catering and event sales across multiple regional venues by proactively sourcing new business, conducting market research, managing leads and prospects, and achieving sales targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing and sales plans, collaborating with PR/advertising teams to support campaigns and achieve revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through networking, industry partnerships, and professional engagement; provide event planning and menu consultation to ensure repeat business.
  • Lead the full sales cycle including prospecting, proposal development, contract negotiation, and coordination of agreements, BEOs, and client communications.
  • Oversee sales operations and performance by managing client databases, tracking bookings, analyzing competitors, preparing reports, and ensuring seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
  • Ensures clients are properly connected with the appropriate on-site team members; that all catering/event requirements and requests have been addressed in a timely and helpful manner; and that on-site staff has assured and monitored a positive guest experience.
  • Collaborate with leadership and regional sales colleagues to create best practices and synergies and consistently drive organizational success.

KPI Creation & Accountability
  • Achieve event sales KPIs & goals for each assigned venue.
  • Standardize task expectations and workflows that drive KPI & goal achievement.
  • Track and report prospecting & goal progress regularly, providing transparent updates to assigned corporate points, clients, sales teams, and on-site points of contact.

CRMs & Technology Integration
  • Ensure consistent and effective use of CRMs across all assigned venues for opportunity tracking, outreach logging, and pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with the CRMs admin team(s) to address user pain points, implement improvements, and deliver training.
  • Manage automated outreach and follow-up workflows through CRMs or integrated tools to support lead generation and booking efficiency.

Sales Training & Development
  • Lead bi-weekly event sales calls with the colleague sellers focused on outbound sales initiatives, prospecting, and closing business.
  • Co-develop quarterly training sessions on outbound sales, lead conversion, client follow-up, and referral strategies.
  • Provide targeted coaching to support addressing specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Serve as a mentor to assigned sales team members, fostering continuous improvement across the region.

Leadership Alignment
  • Educate and support assigned venues & client leadership as well as assigned points of contact in understanding event sales strategies, metric performance, and best practices for sales success.
  • Facilitate regular alignment meetings with leadership, clients, and team members to ensure proper communication and alignment.

Marketing & Awareness Integration
  • Be the bridge between driving event sales-related goals with OVG's Global Marketing team and clients' marketing teams to ensure assigned venues receive tailored and impactful marketing support.
  • Own the social media strategy and content calendar for event sales, ensuring alignment with venue-level goals and messaging.
  • Oversee SEO strategy and Google Ads campaigns in coordination with OVG & client marketing, customizing by market and offering.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop event-specific collateral (e.g., open house materials, promotional flyers) to ensure sales teams can focus on prospecting and closing.

Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years in sales leadership, preferably in hospitality, stadiums, or arenas.
  • Proven track record of achieving outbound sales & KPI goals.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems-Tripleseat & Salesforce preferred.
  • Deep understanding of funnel management, pipeline development, and outreach strategy.
  • Ability to create strategy and drive tactical execution.
  • Experience training sales professionals on outbound sales and performance-based growth.
  • Confident communicator with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Marketing knowledge and ability to speak the language of digital campaigns, SEO, social media, and brand messaging.
  • Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time. Trips may require air travel and/or an overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
  • Exceptional leadership and client-facing interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of navigating diverse teams.
