Job description

While reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of materials required to support plant production across multiple plants. You will generate planned order replenishments for materials based on orders, forecast demand, and material inventory data. The role balances available and required material inventory levels to optimize service, working capital, and material costs, considering lead time data and supplier performance metrics.

This position will be an integral part of our Supply Chain team and will work collaboratively with the Sales and Operations Planning and Sales and Operations Execution teams to achieve reliable, low-cost material availability. This position will also work closely with our plant teams to ensure accurate and timely replenishment plans, so they have the right materials at the right time.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for Material Replenishment Planning for assigned plants.

  • Coordinate capital project planning for assigned plants to ensure alignment across multiple depts for project startup

  • Coordinate communication with key customers and execution of forecast across multiple plants to support project startup

  • Monitor and manage plant KPIs for supplier reviewer meetings

  • Coordinate with plant operations/scheduling and suppliers to ensure material availability based upon Plant Production Schedules and supplier lead times

  • Drive standard material replenishment processes.

  • Work with plants, plant schedulers, and Logistics to resolve any material shortages and exceptions.

  • Balance material requirements across assigned plants based upon material availability and optimal inventory levels.

  • Establish and monitor plant material safety stock levels for assigned plants to drive working capital improvements.

  • Ensure item level planning parameters are set correctly for assigned plants to achieve optimal material replenishment recommendations.

  • Work with Supply Chain Data Analysts, Master Data Management, or Global Business Systems groups for required data setup and maintenance to support Materials Replenishment Planning.

  • Effectively and timely communicate and elevate any issues that impact a plant's production schedules and/or customer delivery performance.

  • Identify and recommend any Material Replenishment process improvements to Supply Chain Leadership.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Ideally candidates would have an educational background in data management, supply chain management, business or related fields.

  • This position should be considered a developmental position for future supply chain, logistics, supply management, operating excellence, or production planning leadership positions.

  • This person must have a very high-level attention to detail, and be able to quickly and effectively identify and resolve material planning data issues or material shortages.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and written) to all Material Replenishment Planning stakeholders.

  • This person will be expected to work closely with Supply Chain Planning and Supply Chain Execution teams.

  • This person should possess or be willing to pursue important Supply Chain certifications, like APICS CPIM and APICS CSCP.

  • Manufacturing process, materials planning, capacity planning, production planning experience preferred.

  • Oracle/Oracle ASCP experience is a "plus".

This position will be located in Charlotte, NC or in Winchester, KY with some consideration for a partially remote work schedule.

Compensation:

Supply Planner I- The annual salary for this role is from $63,840 - $71,820.

Supply Planner II - The annual salary for this role is from $77,440 - $87,120
