• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, either in-home or at our outpatient clinic, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client's needs.
• Implement strategies to reduce at-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious actions or aggression, through empirically supported interventions in anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills development.
• Support caregivers through educational sessions aimed at improving decision-making related to behavioral challenges in the home, equipping them with tools to handle daily situations more effectively.
• Collaborate actively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care, regularly exchanging insights and recommendations during team meetings.
• Document clinical encounters diligently, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments, adhering to organizational timelines and submission guidelines.

The primary focus of this position includes working with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who face significant developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our therapists provide vital services that facilitate healthier coping strategies, promote family bonding, and foster better skills for overall relational dynamics. • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.
• Candidates must possess a current, unrestricted LMFT license.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4-7 PM; weekend availability is a definite plus.
• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are necessary, as travel to clients' homes will be required.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

• Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with developmental disabilities and behavioral issues, is highly desired.
• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies is beneficial.
• Familiarity with therapeutic tools and platforms that promote remote sessions can enhance service delivery.
