Job Summary

We are hiring a high-potential AI-forward Software Engineer to design and build intelligent workflow systems that transform how procurement and finance operations function.
This role is focused on building AI-powered applications - not maintaining data pipelines. You will architect and implement AI-driven workflow tooling, integrate Azure AI services into production systems, and build lightweight web applications that operationalize LLM-based reasoning inside enterprise processes.
You will work directly with the Director of AI Strategy & Engineering to move from concept prototype production at speed.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

1. Design & Build AI-First Workflow Systems

  • Design intelligent workflow applications that embed LLM reasoning into real operational processes.
  • Implement agentic patterns (multi-step reasoning, validation loops, exception routing).
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured AI-enabled workflows.
  • Build systems that combine deterministic logic with AI-driven decision layers.
  • Create tools that reduce manual effort across supplier management, document review, classification, and exception handling.

2. Azure AI & Cloud Integration

  • Develop solutions using Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI.
  • Deploy and manage model endpoints within Azure.
  • Integrate AI services into secure, enterprise-grade applications.
  • Utilize Azure services such as:
    • Azure Functions
    • App Services
    • Azure Storage
    • Logic Apps (where appropriate)
  • Implement authentication, role-based access, and secure API integrations.
  • Ensure scalability, observability, and reliability in production environments.
  • You should understand how AI services operate inside a broader cloud architecture.

3. Full-Stack Development

  • Build intuitive internal web applications (React/TypeScript preferred).
  • Develop backend APIs (Python, Node.js, or .NET) to orchestrate AI services and workflow logic.
  • Integrate front-end applications with backend endpoints and enterprise systems.
  • Design clean user interfaces for:
    • Human validation of AI outputs
    • Exception management
    • Workflow status tracking
  • Own features end-to-end - from UI interaction to backend orchestration.

4. Experimentation & Rapid Prototyping

  • Rapidly prototype AI solutions to test business impact.
  • Move quickly from proof-of-concept to hardened production solution.
  • Continuously evaluate new Azure AI capabilities and apply them pragmatically.
  • Instrument workflows to measure ROI and user adoption.
  • Operate with an iterative, builder mindset.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of professional experience building automation systems or AI-enabled applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry or Azure OpenAI.
  • Working knowledge of Azure cloud architecture.
  • Experience building full-stack applications (frontend + backend).
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and secure application design.
  • Exposure to LLM-based workflows (prompt engineering, structured outputs, validation loops).
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into systems.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred

  • Experience implementing agentic or multi-step LLM workflows.
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration patterns.
  • Experience integrating AI into operational enterprise processes.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform or Copilot integrations.
