Position

Position: Senior QA Engineer

Location Preference: Hybrid - Barcelona, ES

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team of professionals and help us take our product to the next level. You will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality and improve the Aternity Mobile offering for the entire stack (Android/iOS/Mac/Linux, RestFul API, server). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing team, and ensure quality across Aternity Mobile and Aternity Mac/Linux.

What you will do
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Design, execute automation scripts and analyze results
  • Identify, investigate, document thoroughly, and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing and decide what steps are needed to increase confidence
  • Partner with DevOps and Development to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing features to meet client needs
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
What makes you an ideal candidate
  • Significant experience in a QA Engineer role, ideally working with endpoint agents (not an entry-level role)
  • Experience and aptitude to integrating modern GenAI tools and methodologies into daily work processes
  • Experience developing automated test scripts
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proven experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases (must-have)
  • Proven experience translating use cases and technical specifications into test cases
  • Proven experience conducting manual testing
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Can-do attitude; proactive, with internal drive for excellence and improvement
  • Fluent English and Spanish
  • Independent and self-directed learner
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

Advantages / nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with automation testing tools
  • Hands-on experience with Android instrumentation tests and iOS UI tests
  • Expertise in one or more platform internals: Android, iOS, macOS, Linux
