Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

  • Provides technical support and guidance to staff on IT systems and security operations across the organization.
  • Implements, maintains, and conducts on-site and remote analyses of information systems and network processing across all levels of information security
  • Develops methods, standards, and metrics to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts for information systems.
  • Evaluates cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and guidelines to deliver objective technical analysis and recommendations to agency leadership.

  • Incumbents must successfully complete periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examinations, with No Deception Indicated (NDI), for the duration of federal employment and while maintaining access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • This position requires the incumbent to travel to CONUS and/or OCONUS locations up to 25% of the time
