Job description

The Information Technology directorate is looking for a dynamic Data Analytics Manager.

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Sites (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The NNSS is an enterprise of special-purpose, multi-mission, high-hazard experimentation facilities delivering technical and service solutions in partnership with the National Laboratories. Our collaborative work supports the government's most important national security missions. (See NNSS.gov for our unique capabilities.)   • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 11 years of related and progressively responsible experience.
  • Five years or more of experience in managing data teams and data projects.
  • Leading projects with stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Proven track record of implementing data platforms for large and complex systems.
  • Experience with implementing process improvements and automation.
  • Experience with data modeling, database design, and data integration approaches.
  • Experience with Data warehousing - Virtual data warehousing exposure is desired.
  • Exposure to developing a Semantic Query layer is desired.
  • Experience creating dashboards/visualizations in PowerBI.
  • Experience writing script, code to automate processes.
  • Experience with cloud-based data storage and analytics technologies.
  • Experience with code and deployment automation for data pipelines.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  • Strong Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to one or more formal architecture frameworks and related modeling languages and notations.
  • The primary work location will be at the Losee Road Facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, 'Identity, Credential, and Access Management,' and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, 'Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.'

Annual salary range for this position is: $126,984.00 - $203,174.40.

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
