Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Providing individual counseling sessions through video conferencing, focusing on improving clients' mental health and emotional resilience.
• Encouraging clients to openly discuss their emotions and experiences to foster insight and understanding in their relationships.
• Acting as an advocate for clients, helping them define their therapeutic goals and encouraging progress throughout the therapy process.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients’ mental conditions, and developing tailored, solution-focused treatment plans based on your professional expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with carefully-screened, stable adult clients who present with low acuity mental health issues. This setting allows for meaningful interaction and the opportunity to facilitate significant personal growth and improvement in mental health.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Current and valid licensing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), issued by a recognized state board (limited or provisional licenses are not accepted).
• Ability to make professional evaluations, recommendations, and treatment decisions with integrity and compassion.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a sympathetic demeanor.
• Strong computer literacy, comfortable utilizing technology for client interactions and documentation.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of clinical experience and a proven track record in a remote counseling environment will be prioritized. Experience working with diverse populations and in various therapeutic modalities will also be advantageous.
