Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized counseling sessions to clients through video chat, focusing on improving mental health and emotional well-being.
• Foster open discussions that encourage clients to explore their emotions, experiences, and behaviors to gain greater self-awareness and insight.
• Advocate for clients' needs by helping them articulate their goals and aspirations, creating a path forward for personal growth.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' mental health conditions, developing tailored treatment plans based on innovative, solution-focused methodologies from your clinical background.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each client's progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with company policies and regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Kessler Counseling Center, we work exclusively with stable adult clients who have been carefully screened to ensure a low acuity level, allowing you to focus on effective therapeutic techniques without the need to manage severe mental health cases. Furthermore, we strategically match clients to counselors based on their areas of expertise and demographic preferences, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance from the outset.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license to practice independently as a mental health provider in Oregon, including but not limited to LMFT, LPC, or LCSW. Please note that only candidates with full licensure and no provisional or disciplinary issues will be considered.
• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by empathy and understanding, are essential for building rapport with clients.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and a good level of computer literacy to facilitate remote sessions effectively.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in providing therapy via telehealth platforms and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities can set candidates apart. Previous exposure to outpatient counseling settings and experience working with the adult population will also be beneficial.

• Competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000 annually based on your hours and experience.
