About the Opportunity

Diverse Agile Solutions (DAS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Administrator to support a mission-critical federal environment. This role will join the Cloud Architecture and Administration team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and compliant cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications, emerging AI capabilities, and modern containerized workloads.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive AWS cloud administration experience, strong automation and Infrastructure as Code expertise, and a deep understanding of federal security and compliance requirements.

Project Scope

The Senior Cloud Administrator will support the architecture, deployment, administration, and optimization of cloud infrastructure within AWS GovCloud environments. This position will play a key role in advancing cloud modernization initiatives, supporting containerized workloads, implementing automation, and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, and security teams to deliver resilient and scalable cloud solutions that align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, administer, and maintain secure AWS GovCloud environments.
  • Implement and manage cloud-native infrastructure solutions that support enterprise applications and emerging AI/ML initiatives.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications utilizing Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
  • Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams utilizing Jira to manage project activities and deliverables.
  • Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, reliability, and security.
  • Implement cloud governance and security controls in alignment with NIST 800-53 and FISMA requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, security, and application deployment issues.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Contribute to cloud architecture strategy, modernization efforts, and technical roadmaps.
  • Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience administering enterprise cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes-based environments, including Amazon EKS.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working within Agile development and operations environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, monitoring, and automation best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within AWS GovCloud environments.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls and FISMA compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure, platforms, or cloud-native AI services.
  • Experience utilizing GitLab for source control and CI/CD automation.
