Job description

Description
As a Customer Service Representative with Liberty Plastics, you will interact directly with our customers and support our sales team in fulfilling orders for both building and customs products. You will be an integral part of our sales & customer service team that works collaboratively in servicing our customers.
This full-time position will report to the Sr Sales Manager at our Liberty Plastics location in New Hope, MN
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing exceptional service through timely communication, issue resolution, and order support.
  • Review, verify, and accurately process customer purchase orders in JD Edwards (JDE), ensuring correct pricing, product specifications, quantities, shipping requirements, and customer-specific terms prior to order entry.
  • Manage the complete order lifecycle from receipt through shipment by monitoring order status, resolving discrepancies, issuing order acknowledgments, and coordinating changes, expedites, cancellations, and special requests.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Production, Shipping, Logistics, Finance, and Quality teams to ensure on-time order fulfillment, proactive communication, and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain customer inventory programs by monitoring inventory levels, usage trends, and forecasts to support replenishment and minimize supply disruptions.
  • Coordinate daily shipping activities by updating shipping schedules, releasing orders for shipment, providing freight quotes, tracking deliveries, and communicating shipment status or delays to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize JD Edwards (JDE), EDI, and customer-specific portals to process orders, manage purchase orders, upload shipping documentation, provide tracking information, submit invoices, and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Process customer returns, credits, pricing adjustments, and related documentation while maintaining accurate records of customer communications, transactions, and account activity.
  • Support the Sales team by providing freight and product quotations, assisting with customer opportunities, participating in sales training, and serving as a resource for product information and customer programs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve customer service processes, order accuracy, system utilization, and cross-functional communication while maintaining current knowledge of customer requirements and internal procedures.
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION , EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, order management or a similar role within a fast-paced industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook and Excel.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration
  • Proven experience in customer service, order management or a similar role within a fast-paced industry
  • Experience working with Amazon Seller Central or other e-commerce selling platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay range for this position is $24.11 - $30.14 per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
