Contract - 12+ Months
Role: Remote
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solution Architect / Hands on Developer
This role, for the Client, will work collaboratively with the Solution Architect, and other Architect resources, to develop and implement the Client data archive that will be hosted and operated in the OIT AWS cloud infrastructure.
The Client data archive will maintain all existing relational data in the Oracle 12c database, as well as any relational tables not converted, VSAM files stored in their native format, flat files, and reports. The archive will be a secure, web based application, used by state users for unemployment insurance case research, data analysis, data extraction and limited reporting. The data archive will consist of static content.
This position is for a Architect / Hands on developer role, not an AWS DevOps engineer or AWS Administrator.
The ideal Developer candidate must have the following experience:

  • 5 years of success developing and implementation of customer facing AWS web solutions.
  • 5 years of experience in Ruby, Python, Java programming, or C# and the ability to deliver high quality code in that language.
This position will work with the Solution Architect and the OIT cloud team to develop the solution while ensuing alignment with best practices for AWS services.
  • Preferred: Experience in developing Lambda functions preferred.
