Cloud Database Engineer

One of our clients needs a Cloud database engineer.

Position: Cloud database engineer

Location: Remote

Travel: None

Position type: Live

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage databases on AWS (PostgreSQL, Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data lake solutions using AWS Glue, Athena, or equivalents.
  • Ensure database security, encryption, and access control in line with best practices.
  • Optimize performance, monitor usage, and troubleshoot database issues.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and application teams to integrate data solutions.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–6 years of experience in database engineering with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, or equivalents.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data lakes, and data processing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AWS Glue, Athena, or similar services.
  • Solid understanding of database security, encryption, and access management.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
