Job description


We are seeking remote Aircraft Mechanical Design Engineers to support the design and development of aircraft heavy/primary structure. This role will use 3D parametric CAD along with rapid prototyping and other engineering tools to create, validate, and document innovative solutions for military Bizjet aircraft. This is a mid-to-senior-level, hands-on design role requiring technical capability and direct customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have 3-12+ years of mechanical design experience, advanced proficiency in Siemens NX for parametric 3D modeling and strong working knowledge of Teamcenter for product data management, BOM creation, and revision control.
Job Duties:
*Design aircraft heavy structure and primary structure modifications using 3D CAD
*Create and release engineering drawings, procedures, and technical documentation
*Support design validation through prototyping and engineering analysis
*Collaborate with peers, management, customers, and cross-functional teams
*Ensure designs meet applicable standards, specifications, schedules, and budgets
Required:
*Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
*3-12+ years of strong, applicable experience with primary structural design and modifications
*Strong understanding of mechanical design principles for aircraft structures and components
*Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Advanced proficiency in:
*Siemens NX (3D modeling)
*Teamcenter (PDM, BOMs, revision control)
Preferred:
Technical:
*Heavy Structures modifications
*Nose modification, Cheek Fairing design, Tail Extension design, Fuselage reinforcement design
*Composite external OML design with coordination through analysis and aerodynamics teams
*Wire Routing Experience, familiarity with routing paths in tight areas, signal separation, EWIS requirements
Soft Skills:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $85,000-$130,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
