Job description

Great American Media Services (GAMS), a leading B2B media company, is looking for a curious, forward-thinking journalist to lead Fruit Growers News, Vegetable Growers News and Organic Grower.
In this role, you'll help specialty crop professionals navigate the issues, innovations and ideas shaping their industry. You'll have the opportunity to set the editorial direction for three respected brands while creating meaningful content across print, digital, video and live events.
This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Chief Content Officer.
What You'll Do
  • Set the editorial vision and develop a thoughtful, industry-leading content calendar for all three brands
  • Manage day-to-day editorial workflows for magazines, websites and e-newsletters
  • Report, write and create engaging content for print, web, video, social media and multimedia packages
  • Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity and alignment with AP and GAMS house style
  • Use content analytics and audience insights to strengthen engagement and inform editorial decisions
  • Recruit and manage freelance contributors, including assignments, deadlines and budgets
  • Build relationships with growers, researchers, suppliers and other specialty agriculture experts
  • Develop trusted connections with readers and represent their interests across the brands
  • Work collaboratively with advertising and marketing partners while maintaining editorial integrity
  • Moderate webinars and participate in events and other audience-engagement initiatives
  • Represent the brands at industry conferences and trade shows
  • Collaborate with GAMS editorial, design, sales and marketing teams
  • Identify new formats, topics and opportunities that expand the brands' reach and impact

What You'll Bring
