Our talented finance team partners with every area of the business to drive results and provide financial expertise. We are passionate about analyzing and interpreting information to assess performance and provide guidance. Our team serves as a true partner and advisor to all our business leaders; working with them to accelerate the company's profitability and growth.

Join the Bid Strategy team and help shape how Staples improves bids for medium and large business customers across the U.S. In this role, you will turn frontline process pain points into clearer workflows, better tool adoption, measurable KPI visibility, and practical recommendations for Pricing and Sales leadership.

What you will be doing:

  • Identify, prioritize, and document bid process improvements that strengthen win rate, profitability, cycle time, and service-level performance.
  • Project manage cross-functional bid process enhancements across Pricing, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
  • Translate frontline bid pain points into clear business requirements, prioritized enhancements, and measurable implementation plans.
  • Prepare concise KPI readouts, issue summaries, and decision materials for Bid Effectiveness leadership and senior Pricing/Sales stakeholders.
  • Support adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of PROS and related pricing tools used by teams.
  • Own PriceRight self-service quoting training, feedback intake, enhancement tracking, and adoption support.
  • Coordinate operating rhythms that improve bid governance, win-rate visibility, SLA performance, tool usage, and consistency of execution across teams.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A process-oriented, analytical mindset with the ability to connect bid execution to measurable business impact.
  • Strong project management and issue-resolution skills, with confidence coordinating work across Pricing, Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
  • Financial and commercial acumen to understand how pricing decisions, bid quality, and operational execution influence win rate, profitability, and customer outcomes.
  • Ability to identify process gaps, analyze performance trends, and recommend practical improvements that support speed, consistency, adoption, and governance.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to summarize issues, recommendations, and progress for leadership audiences.

What's needed: Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in pricing, bid operations, revenue operations, process improvement, project management, or a related field supporting cross-functional business execution.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience using SQL, Tableau, or similar tools to track KPIs and identify trends.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and translate data into clear recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, operations, accounting, economics, finance, or another analytical discipline.
  • Exposure to process-improvement frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.
  • Familiarity with PROS, PriceRight, pricing platforms, quote tools, or related commercial systems.

We Offer:

  • Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups
  • Flexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays)
  • Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more!
