Job description

PeopleFinders.com, the premier online service for consumers to locate, contact and verify people and businesses. Over the past couple of decades the Company has quietly become one of the largest owners of public records data in the country, distributing its products over a vast network of websites.

PeopleFinders | Remote | Reports to Performance Marketing Leadership

Job Purpose

The Senior BI & Marketing Analyst is the company's hands-on business intelligence resource, responsible for turning data from across the business into timely, accurate reporting and actionable insight — with a particular focus on performance marketing. This role operates at two altitudes: partnering with marketing leadership to assist in planning what the business needs from its data at a high level, and then personally executing the analysis, reporting, and dashboard development to deliver it. We're looking for a motivated self-starter who ramps quickly on new businesses, industries, and datasets, sets a high bar for accuracy, and is equally comfortable presenting to executives and writing the SQL themselves.

Salary - $110k - $120k

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Marketing & Business Analytics

  • Analyze customer acquisition performance across paid search, display, affiliate, and organic channels — spend efficiency, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, and cost per subscriber — and recommend optimizations to the performance marketing team.
  • Build and maintain reporting on subscription funnel economics: trial starts, trial-to-paid conversion, rebill/retention, churn, and customer lifetime value by channel and campaign.
  • Analyze A/B and pricing test results to guide decisions on page content, UX, offers, and pricing.
  • Investigate anomalies in traffic, conversion, and revenue data; distinguish real business changes from tracking or attribution artifacts before findings reach stakeholders.

Reporting & BI Development

  • Retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources (web analytics, ad platforms, billing/subscription systems, internal databases) into clear, actionable reporting for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and reporting solutions in our BI platform (Domo), migrating existing manual and legacy reporting into governed, automated pipelines.
  • Automate and optimize existing manual data workflows, reducing time-to-insight and error risk.
  • Partner with leadership to define key metrics, KPIs, and dashboards that measure business performance; maintain clear metric definitions and a single source of truth.

Collaboration & Planning

  • Plan the reporting and analytics roadmap at a high level with business owners, then prioritize and execute the work individually and with BI contractors.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, engineering, finance) and external agency partners on day-to-day execution of analytics projects and initiatives.
  • Over time, coordinate work with BI contractors supporting platform development, reviewing output for quality and consistency.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, marketing analytics, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Strong SQL skills, with experience querying and aggregating large datasets from multiple sources; experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and automated reporting in a modern BI platform; Domo experience strongly preferred (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker also relevant).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions, pivot tables, and linked, multi-source workbooks.
  • Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly on a new business, industry, and unfamiliar datasets — investigating, mastering, and documenting them with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to operate at both altitudes: shape analytics priorities with leadership, then personally deliver the work end to end.
  • Strong communication skills — able to present complex quantitative findings in a simple, intuitive format to executive audiences.
  • Self-starter with high standards for quality, performance, and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience supporting a performance marketing or growth team (paid search, display, affiliates).
  • Experience with subscription or trial-based D2C business models and their economics (LTV, ROAS, churn, cohort analysis).
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), UTM-based attribution, and combining web analytics with internal data.
  • Experience working with billing/subscription platform data (e.g., Recurly, Chargebee, Stripe).
  • Experience analyzing A/B tests with tools such as VWO, Optimizely, or similar.
  • Experience collaborating with external media agencies or BI contractors.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
