What is remote aerospace marketing?

Remote aerospace marketing involves promoting and selling aerospace products and services—such as aircraft, satellites, parts, and technology solutions—while working from a location outside of a traditional office, often from home. Professionals in this field use digital marketing strategies, customer relationship management tools, and industry research to connect with potential clients, generate leads, and support sales for aerospace organizations. The role requires knowledge of both marketing techniques and the aerospace sector, as well as strong communication skills to collaborate with global teams and customers. Remote aerospace marketers often attend virtual trade shows, webinars, and online meetings to stay informed and engaged with the industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote aerospace marketing professional?

To thrive as a Remote Aerospace Marketing professional, you need a solid understanding of aerospace products and markets, a degree in marketing or a related field, and experience in B2B marketing. Familiarity with CRM platforms, digital marketing tools, and analytics systems is typically required, along with certifications like HubSpot or Google Analytics being advantageous. Strong communication, project management, and self-motivation skills set top performers apart in remote environments. These skills and qualities are essential for effectively reaching target audiences, driving business growth, and collaborating across global teams in a highly technical industry.

What are the main challenges of working in remote aerospace marketing, and how can I effectively collaborate with technical teams?

One of the main challenges in remote aerospace marketing is bridging the gap between complex technical products and the needs of a diverse, global customer base. Head of Product Marketing (Remote US)

Legion Intelligence

Remote

Full-time

Job description

About Legion
Let's be real, AI isn't magic; Legion was built to move beyond AI hype-delivering secure, reliable systems that work alongside the people tackling the world's most critical challenges.
Born from a Department of Defense partnership and trusted by leaders across government and enterprise, Legion embeds intelligence inside complex systems, unlocking data, accelerating human workflows, and strengthening mission-critical systems. We don't replace workflows-we optimize them, ensuring quality, efficiency, and reliability inside the platforms our partners already use.
With world-class collaborators like Palantir, Nvidia, HPE, and Oracle, we're building intelligent infrastructure that enhances human capability and drives impact at the edge and across a range of enterprises.
We're looking for bold thinkers and doers to join us in shaping the future of AI that's secure, grounded, and built to work.
The Role:
Legion is hiring a Head of Product Marketing to define how our platform and solutions are understood in the market and to ensure our go-to-market teams are armed to win. This role reports directly to the SVP of Marketing and partners closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success leadership.
This is a leadership role with real leverage. You will own the product narrative across national security, aerospace, manufacturing, and energy, and translate fast-evolving technical capabilities into clear, differentiated positioning that drives pipeline and revenue.
You will work at two levels simultaneously:
  • At the strategic level, shaping portfolio positioning, industry narratives, ICP clarity, and competitive differentiation.
  • At the execution level, building and refining the assets, enablement, and storytelling frameworks that our sellers use every week.

If you are excited by complex systems, high-stakes environments, and turning technical depth into decisive market advantage, this role is built for you.
What You Will Own:
Portfolio Positioning and Market Definition
  • Define and evolve Legion's product positioning across priority industries: national security, aerospace, manufacturing, and energy.
  • Partner with GTM and Product to shape and refine ideal customer profiles and buyer personas, ensuring marketing has a direct voice in how we define and pursue the market.
  • Develop messaging frameworks grounded in measurable outcomes, deployment realities, and operational impact.
  • Ensure tight alignment between corporate narrative and product-level storytelling.

Vertical and Use-Case Strategy
  • Translate platform capabilities into clear, industry-specific use cases that resonate with distinct personas.
  • Build durable solution packaging that sellers can reuse across accounts and verticals.
  • Elevate proof points from real deployments into compelling narratives that build credibility in high-trust markets.

Product Launches and Market Activation
  • Own the messaging and enablement strategy for major product releases and updates.
  • Partner cross-functionally to coordinate launch readiness across Sales, Growth, and Customer teams.
  • Ensure launches are more than announcements, equipping the field with clear positioning, talk tracks, competitive framing, and supporting materials.
  • Define and evolve cohesive demo narratives that connect capabilities across modules into outcome-driven stories aligned to target industries and buyer personas.
  • Support key events and executive engagements with product-centric narratives and materials that reinforce Legion's differentiation.

Competitive Strategy and Sales Arming
  • Own Legion's competitive narrative and clearly define where and why we win.
  • Develop structured differentiation frameworks that translate into real tools for sellers: competitive briefs, objection handling, and positioning guidance.
  • Analyze win/loss patterns and market signals to refine messaging and inform leadership-level positioning decisions.

Technical Storytelling and System-Level Clarity
  • Develop a deep understanding of Legion's architecture, deployment models, and roadmap direction.
  • Translate complex technical systems into narratives that are credible to technical buyers and compelling to executives.
  • Shape how we express system architecture and product capabilities visually, ensuring technical depth is translated into clear, story-driven representations that elevate beyond feature diagrams and communicate real-world impact and differentiation.

Customer and Ecosystem Insight
  • Partner closely with Customer Success to convert real-world deployment outcomes and field learnings into credible proof, sharper vertical narratives, and more decisive competitive positioning in active deals.
  • Support joint messaging and enablement with key partners to strengthen ecosystem alignment in active opportunities.

What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or technical GTM roles within AI, enterprise software, infrastructure, or similarly complex systems.
  • Experience marketing rapidly evolving technical platforms where capabilities shift quickly and narrative must evolve alongside them.
  • Demonstrated success building positioning and enablement that directly supports enterprise deal cycles.
  • Strong ability to define ICPs and buyer personas and translate them into targeted messaging and field-ready assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate research, messaging development, and enablement creation while maintaining rigor and accuracy.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • High ownership mindset and comfort operating in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred:
  • Experience marketing into national security, aerospace, manufacturing, energy, or other regulated and mission-critical industries.
  • Familiarity with hybrid, on-prem, and edge deployment environments.
  • Experience enabling sales in complex, multi-stakeholder buying environments with long decision cycles.

Compensation Information
