Position Overview

Forest View Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible remote work setup, enabling you to connect with clients through virtual platforms while maintaining a supportive work-life balance. Though you will primarily work independently, you will always have access to colleagues for guidance and peer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health concerns through interviews, questionnaires, and observations to accurately diagnose conditions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, taking client preferences and goals into consideration.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other appropriate techniques.
• Provide crisis intervention to clients in acute distress, employing effective de-escalation and support strategies.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, including treatment goals, progress notes, and assessment outcomes, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness about mental health resources and advocate for the needs of clients.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training sessions to stay current with advancements in mental health treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and other mental health disorders. Our goal is to help clients develop coping skills, improve their emotional well-being, and enhance their overall quality of life. By employing a client-centered approach, you will empower clients to take an active role in their healing journey.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, LCSW).
• Possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience providing mental health counseling services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport with clients and their families.
• Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards, demonstrating a commitment to best practices in mental health care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient mental health setting is favorable.
• Experience with telehealth platforms is a plus, given the remote nature of this position.
• Familiarity with community resources and mental health advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 85,000 to 100,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team. Benefits include:
