This vacancy is for a GS - 0303 - 7, ADMIN SUPPORT ASSIST located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SECTOR SOUTHEASTERN NEW ENGLAND ADMIN/PERSONNEL DIVISION in WOODS HOLE, Massachusetts.

Duties
Help
You will serve as an ADMIN SUPPORT ASSIST and be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and clerical duties.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
  • Manages executive calendars, appointments, meetings, conferences, and scheduling for senior leadership.
  • Receives visitors and telephone calls and coordinates meeting, travel, and administrative arrangements.
  • Performs office automation duties using Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, presentations, and other documents.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail, prepare reports, and tracks correspondence and submission deadlines.
  • Maintains official files and records in accordance with established Coast Guard requirements.
  • Serves as the central point of contact for office systems, records management, and office supply requirements.
  • Administers the Awards Program, including processing recommendations, tracking approvals, preparing award packages, and coordinating presentations.
  • Administers Officer and Enlisted Evaluation Programs.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.
  • Experience managing executive calendars, appointments, meetings, conferences, and administrative schedules.
  • Experience coordinating travel, meeting logistics, visitors, and administrative support for senior-level management.
  • Experience using automated office systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience administering employee awards programs.
  • Experience tracking and administering officer and enlisted employee evaluations.
