We partner with over 60 school districts and dozens of health plans—including Kaiser Permanente—reaching more than one million young people nationwide. Our clinicians enjoy the stability of consistent referrals and a meaningful caseload, allowing you to focus on what matters most: making a real difference in clients' lives.

We're seeking compassionate, licensed mental health clinicians to provide teletherapy to adolescents and adults ages 11-60 throughout California. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to help our clients thrive. Every session you lead has the power to change a person's trajectory—and that's just the beginning of the impact you'll make.

Please note: This role is open to therapists who are fully licensed in California only; associate and provisionally licensed therapists are not eligible.

1099 Independent Contractor

Our new tiered pay structure rewards clinicians who want to grow their caseload, with no cap on your earnings:

  • ???? $75–$90 per session, based on weekly caseload volume

  • ???? $5 Bilingual session differential available for every session
  • ???? $340 paid onboarding training stipend
  • ???? Free continuing education credits year-round and a dedicated intake assistant who supports with all initial scheduling and consent forms

  • ???? Biweekly pay — Daybreak handles all billing
  • ???? Flexible caseload: Start with just 5 sessions per week, see as many clients as you'd like
    The more clients you see, the more you earn. A clinician seeing 20+ sessions per week can build a meaningful income stream without the administrative burden of running a private practice.

Flexibility & Clinical Support 

  • Fully Remote: Work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Flexible Schedule: Choose to work within any time block from Monday–Sunday, 8am–8 PM PST (weekends optional)
  • Administrative Support: We handle billing, credentialing, scheduling, and sending out consent forms so you can focus on care
  • Supportive Clinical Community: Peer consultation, collaborative networks, and team discussions
  • Professional Development: Continuing education credits and ongoing training

Role & Responsibilities

  • Foster strong, supportive relationships with our clients to create a safe therapeutic environment
  • Provide evidence-based individual teletherapy to adolescents and adults ages 11–60 experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health conditions
  • Provide psychoeducation to parents/caregivers

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional with LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP credentials in the State of California
  • Passion for mental health: Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally responsive, equitable care that honors diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Experience working with youth and adults ages 11-60 in clinical or school settings
  • Comfortable with telehealth: Experience providing telehealth services
