Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing therapists the flexibility to manage their schedules while still providing critical support to our clients. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evening shifts as necessary to meet patient needs. You will work in a supportive, collaborative atmosphere where your expertise will be valued and utilized to improve the mental wellness of our youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans that consider the developmental stages and family background of each child.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions aimed at addressing a variety of mental health disorders, ensuring that treatments are tailored to each patient.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions that engage parents and guardians, empowering them with strategies to foster a supportive home environment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of child psychiatrists and other professionals to maintain coordinated and holistic care for patients.
  • Be prepared to offer crisis intervention and emotional support in urgent mental health situations involving minors and their families.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy of all records.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development activities to strengthen clinical skills.
  • Stay current on emerging research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry for continuous growth in service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents ranging from ages 5 to 18, dealing with a spectrum of mental health challenges. Your role will encompass providing tailored therapies that address issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and various behavioral issues—all critical in the formative years of development.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is essential for this role.
  • Strong foundation in the principles of child psychology, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based practices in mental health counseling.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust and rapport with diverse populations, particularly children and their families.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) management systems and comfortable using technology in a therapeutic context.

Compensation and Benefits
