• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through remote assessments, including preliminary interviews and thorough documentation of individual client cases.
• Analyse clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to establish a solid understanding of their needs.
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailoring approaches based on their unique circumstances and objectives.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and group therapy workshops, employing techniques that foster engagement and healing.
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, adapting plans as necessary to ensure effective interventions.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to refine intervention strategies and share insights on client care.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and design proactive strategies to mitigate these challenges.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Our clients represent a diverse cross-section of individuals struggling with various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, addiction, and trauma. You will provide services to adults in the San Francisco area, employing strengths-based approaches to connect with and support our clients' unique journeys toward recovery.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Well-honed skills in conducting mental health assessments and developing treatment plans informed by best practices.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client progress and treatment plans dynamically.
• A deep understanding of both physical and emotional health conditions, particularly related to addiction disorders.
• Broad knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards and clinical practices.

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor or therapist in diverse settings, showcasing versatility in approach.
• Familiarity with the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals on mental health and the implications for therapy.
• Proficiency in providing therapy in a telehealth format, adapting treatment strategies to virtual environments.
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, crucial for effective interactions both with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an empathetic approach to building rapport and trust with clients during sensitive discussions.

At Mind Addiction Counseling Services, we recognize the dedication required for this role, offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
