• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse history, mental health status, and treatment needs, utilizing standardized screening tools.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues, ensuring a cohesive approach to care.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) to empower clients in their recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to provide integrated care and address the varied needs of clients.
• Educate and support clients' families, promoting their involvement in the recovery process to enhance overall treatment efficacy.
• Maintain accurate and assuredly confidential client records in adherence to all regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and security of sensitive information.

The primary clientele for this role includes individuals grappling with substance abuse issues compounded by mental health challenges. You will engage with a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds, each with unique stories and circumstances. Your ability to foster trust and rapport is critical in helping them navigate the complexities of recovery.

• A valid and in-good-standing license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated training in addiction counseling or relevant experience in substance abuse treatment settings.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for addressing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

• A minimum of two years of direct experience as a mental health counselor, preferably within a substance abuse treatment environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing therapeutic modalities tailored to individual and group settings.
• Experience working within a collaborative team model to support client care.
• Ability to interact effectively with families, friends, and community resources to enhance client support and recovery.
