Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of addiction and recovery processes, providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions to promote recovery and improve the overall well-being of clients.

Responsibilities


  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic evaluations and clinical counseling techniques.
  • Utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help clients identify and change maladaptive behaviors associated with substance use.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standard.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on behavioral health, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

Experience

  • Must have an active MD license (ADT, CSC-D,CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC)
  • Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy principles and practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial for success in this role.
