We are currently seeking a Technology Consultant - Android Development to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US).

Job Title: Technology Consultant – Android Development
Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid – 3 days a week in office).

 

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications for enterprise and customer-facing solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Android application development using Kotlin and Java, modern Android architecture components, RESTful APIs, and mobile application best practices. The candidate will collaborate with product owners, UX designers, architects, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing mobile applications.


Day to Day Job Duties:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code following Android development best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
  • Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs.
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, scalability, and security.
  • Implement modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
  • Write unit tests and collaborate with QA teams to ensure application quality.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Android application development using Kotlin and Java.
  • 4+ years of experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack Components.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and JSON-based services.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing MVVM architecture and modern Android application design patterns.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Jetpack Compose.
  • Knowledge of Firebase services (Crashlytics, Analytics, Cloud Messaging).
  • Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience developing secure enterprise mobile applications.
  • Understanding of mobile DevSecOps practices and automated testing.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum and consulting environments.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $91,000-$135,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
