Our team is full of passionate, curious, and mission-driven people who love adventure and believe business can be a force for good. Whether you're working from a retail shop, our Salt Lake City HQ, your home, or your van in the woods, you'll find connection, collaboration, and a shared drive to make a difference.
Job Overview (What This Role Is All About):
Cotopaxi partners with a select network of international distributors who share our passion for innovative products, outdoor adventure, and our commitment to Do Good. As the International Key Account Manager, you'll support these partners and help ensure a seamless experience across the full B2B order lifecycle from order entry and allocation through fulfillment, shipment, and billing.
This temporary role will provide maternity leave coverage for approximately 3-4 months, serving as a key point of contact for international distributors while partnering closely with our Sales, Sales Planning & Operations, Logistics, Distribution, and Accounting teams. You'll manage orders, communicate product availability and fulfillment timelines, proactively resolve issues, and keep both internal teams and external partners informed.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who can ramp up quickly, manage competing priorities, and confidently work independently. You'll receive a structured knowledge-transfer period with the team member you are covering, gaining familiarity with key distributor relationships, active orders, and systems before taking ownership of the day-to-day business.
Job Responsibilities (How You'll Make An Impact):
  • Support and manage existing international distributor relationships and orders, serving as a responsive and reliable point of contact for questions, updates, product availability, pricing, and order status.
  • Manage the full order lifecycle from order entry and allocation through fulfillment, shipment, invoicing, and billing, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Monitor order fulfillment and delivery timelines, partnering closely with Logistics and Distribution to ensure orders are shipped according to customer requirements and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Provide proactive and consistent communication to distributors, including updates on order allocation, product availability, fulfillment timelines, and potential delays or risks.
  • Process order changes, returns, and warranty claims in accordance with established policies and procedures, escalating exceptions or issues when needed.
  • Partner with Sales and Accounting to help identify and resolve accounts receivable issues, including credit holds, prepayments, and chargebacks.
  • Maintain accurate order trackers, reporting, and customer documentation to ensure strong visibility and continuity across the international business.
  • Track and communicate order book status and fulfillment risks, helping the team identify potential issues and opportunities impacting near-term revenue.
  • Effectively prioritize competing deadlines and manage time-sensitive tasks, ensuring commitments to both internal teams and international distributor partners are met.
  • Quickly learn and follow established processes and systems, including NetSuite and other order management and reporting tools, to ensure a smooth transition and consistent day-to-day execution.

The Ideal Candidate (What You'll Bring to the Role):
  • 2+ years of experience in client service, account management, sales support, order management, or a related field, ideally within a consumer products, outdoor, or retail brand.
  • Experience with an ERP or order management system (such as NetSuite) strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple orders, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal teams and international business partners.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, distributors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Highly proactive and resourceful, with the ability to identify issues, follow through on solutions, and work independently with limited oversight.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapting quickly to established processes, systems, and priorities.
  • Able to start promptly and ramp up quickly through a condensed onboarding and knowledge-transfer period.

You don't have to come from the outdoor industry to make an impact with us. We value curiosity, compassion, and the courage to collaborate openly. So tell us your story - how your journey has shaped you and how you'd like to help Cotopaxi Do Good. We can't wait to meet you.
