Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients’ mental health needs. Develop personalized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions tailored to address diverse mental health challenges.
• Maintain proactive communication with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate coordinated care and ensure complete support for clients.
• Respond to emergencies with crisis intervention techniques, delivering immediate support and guidance for distressed clients while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives and educational programs aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing the stigma associated with seeking help.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients represent a broad spectrum of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a Mental Health Counselor at Greene Health, you will serve individuals facing various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. This role allows you to deepen your cultural competence while making a tangible difference in the lives of those you support.

Qualifications

• A current and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• Completion of a master’s or doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity when addressing the needs of individuals from varied ethnic and socioeconomic groups.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities, ensuring that documentation and client records are maintained accurately and timely.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in providing clinical mental health counseling.
• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or similar methodologies.
• Exposure to team-based care environments and interprofessional collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications. We also offer a robust benefits package that includes:
