About the Role
White Oak Consulting is looking to bring on a Senior Bookkeeper to support our growing client base. This is a part-time, remote position (20–30 hours per week) with flexibility, but we are specifically looking for someone who can step in confidently and own their files.

This is not an entry-level role. You will be working with multiple small to medium-sized businesses, maintaining accurate financials, and supporting clean, reliable reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain bookkeeping for multiple clients in QuickBooks Online
  • Complete full-cycle bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Ensure transactions are accurately categorized and compliant with Canadian tax rules
  • Prepare monthly reports and summaries for clients
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Communicate with clients to request information and resolve discrepancies


Requirements
3–5+ years of real, hands-on bookkeeping experience (required)
Strong understanding of reconciliations, account analysis, and clean books
Intermediate to strong experience in QuickBooks Online (required)
Experience with payroll and basic compliance requirements
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client files independently
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Diploma or certification in bookkeeping or a related field (preferred)
Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping firm is a strong asset
Comfortable working within Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Must be available during business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST)

Compensation & Schedule
$25–$32 per hour, based on experience
20–30 hours per week, with opportunity for growth
Daytime hours, Monday to Friday (no weekends)
