What does a remote 2D storyboard artist do?

A Remote 2D Storyboard Artist creates visual representations of scripts or concepts, mapping out scenes and sequences for animation, film, or video projects. Working remotely, they collaborate with directors, writers, and other team members to plan the flow of the story and communicate ideas through sketches and illustrations. Their work helps guide the production team in understanding timing, camera angles, and character actions before actual production begins.

To thrive as a Remote 2D Storyboard Artist, you generally need a strong background in drawing, visual storytelling, and an understanding of cinematic language, often demonstrated by a portfolio and relevant art or animation degree.
