What is a Remote 1099 Software Developer Contractor?

A Remote 1099 Software Developer Contractor is an independent professional who provides software development services to clients while working remotely, rather than as an on-site employee. The '1099' refers to IRS Form 1099, which is used to report income earned by independent contractors in the United States. These developers are typically responsible for managing their own taxes, benefits, and work schedules. They often work on a project-by-project basis for various clients, instead of being tied to a single employer. This arrangement offers flexibility but requires self-discipline and strong communication skills.
