The Site Superintendentis responsible forcritical elements of construction managementgenerally limitedto the jobsite for assigned projects from pre-construction through project completion. The Site Superintendent collaborates directly with the Project Manager, Vendors, and Trade Partners to pace schedules throughout the lifecycle of the project, managing terms, conditions & expectations of work agreements (purchase orders). Theymaintaintimelyand effective communication with the Project Managers and Clients onjobsite relatedmatters. This position may include 50% bags on carpentrywork..this is the place where a hard-working,go-gettercan get training in some areas soletshave a conversation!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce completed remodeling projects on time and within budget including:
  • Proactive problem-solving.
  • Nothing less than our company standard and excellent quality workmanship.
  • Clear and regular communication with customers,supervisor, and staff.
  • Completion of all necessary production reporting asrequired.
  • Prompt attendance at all required staff and department meetings.
  • Willingness to aggressively resolve conflicts and issues promptly and effectively with a win-win mindset.
  • Ongoing development of improved systems and procedures.
  • Create a working environment that brings the best outinother employees and that uses time as efficiently as possible.
  • Be knowledgeable of all carpentry techniques related to residential construction and remodeling and/orbe responsible forgaining knowledge inareaslacking.

Authority: The Site Superintendent has the following decision-making authority for the organization:

  • Minor modifications to actual construction design specifications in alignment with current design drawings and documents.
  • Purchase materials for projects in alignment with specifications, estimates and allowances as defined in the Oxland Builders Purchase Order Policy as defined in the Oxland Builders Production Policy Manual.
  • Direct Oxland Builders production department employees assigned to project your projects.
  • Make adjustments tothe project schedule and daily work schedule to address delays, weather conditions, or other unforeseen issues to keep the project on track.
  • Make small adjustments to the project scope, WITHOUT A SIGNED CHANGEORDER, dueto unforeseen circumstances or items missed in estimatingas long asthese changes do not significantly affect the budget or overall project scope.
  • The Site Superintendent can enforce or update safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, especially if new hazards areidentified.

Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in high end residential remodeling, degree in project management or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the life cycle of a remodeling projectrequired.
  • High School Diplomarequired.Additionalschooling within the construction field is highly desired.
  • Residential remodeling experience including layout knowledge of foundations, framing, cabinets, interior finish packages, and working with subcontractors.
  • Ability to interact and communicate well with clients, team members, vendors, and specialty trade contractors.
  • In depth knowledge of constructionprincipalsand installation techniques.
  • Able to perform carpentry duties that include light framing and finish work 50% of the time.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience inJobTreadconstruction software but will consider working knowledge ofotherconstruction software like Procore,BuilderTrend,CoConstruct, etc.
  • Computer skills include but are not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and the Internet.
  • Reliable, honest, and ethical as well as having the ability tomanage withthese core values isa must.
  • Ability todemonstrateproper construction site safety skills.
  • Maintain a valid drivers license andstate-required insurance.
