Job description

Our client is hiring a Project Manager to oversee ground-up and remodel projects in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), fast-casual, and general restaurant sectors. This role manages projects from preconstruction through turnover, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, on budget, and in alignment with client expectations. The ideal candidate understands the unique requirements of QSR projects, especially the coordination of kitchen equipment, MEP systems, and tight construction sequencing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of commercial restaurant construction projects including preconstruction planning, schedule development, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and project closeout
  • Lead project setup efforts including estimating support, buyout, contract administration, and establishing site logistics plans
  • Maintain project schedules with clear milestones, weekly updates, and proactive coordination with field teams
  • Review drawings, specifications, and equipment packages with specific attention to kitchen layouts, MEP tie-ins, ventilation, grease traps, and health department requirements
  • Communicate frequently with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
  • Monitor cost reports, track changes, manage RFIs, submittals, and pricing for extra work
  • Support superintendents with field direction, trade scheduling, and resolving conflicts related to kitchen timelines, equipment deliveries, and inspections
  • Conduct project meetings, issue progress updates, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are upheld on every site
  • Manage punchlist, turnover, closeout packages, and warranty follow up

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus
  • 3 to 7 years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Strong background in QSR, fast-casual, restaurant, or hospitality construction
  • Experience coordinating commercial kitchen equipment, MEP integration, food service layouts, and related inspections
  • Solid understanding of scheduling, subcontractor management, and project financials
  • Proficient with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Why Join Our Client:
Our client is a respected commercial contractor known for delivering high-quality restaurant and retail projects with consistency and professionalism. You’ll work with a supportive team, manage recognizable national brands, and have the opportunity to grow into larger roles as the company expands its QSR division.
