Job description

Assistant Project Manager
Location: Wood Dale, IL (in-office) with regular travel to nearby active job sites in Chicagoland
Compensation: $90,000-$100,000/year + year-end bonus
Benefits: Generous benefits package, PTO, and ESOP shares after 1 year of service
About Our Client
Our client is an employee-owned commercial construction company built on the idea that when their people share in the success of the company, everyone wins. As an ESOP, every team member has a direct stake in the work they do and the projects they deliver. They are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team and grow with them - in office in Wood Dale, IL and out at job sites across the Chicagoland area.
Day-to-Day Duties
  • Support several Project Managers across multiple active projects
  • Manage submittals and RFIs
  • Assist with subcontracts and remittance
  • Maintain and update project schedules
  • Coordinate daily with superintendents and help resolve field issues as they arise
  • Process and track change orders in Primavera P6

Must-Haves
  • 3+ years of commercial construction experience as APM, Project Engineer, etc.
  • Background from a General Contractor or a subcontractor is welcome
  • Familiarity with public/institutional project delivery - many public projects here!
  • College degree preferred- not required
  • ERP experience, Sage products preferred!
